Job Summary The Marketing Communications Manager will lead the development and implementation of overarching brand-level marketing campaigns for specified product segments. This individual will serve as a strategic partner to the business unit's Product and Commercial teams in guiding message development and promotional efforts targeted to healthcare professionals, sales force and employees.Principal Duties and Responsibilities Develops messaging and content while actively participating in the generation of marketing collateral to support all phases of the product and/or product segment life cycle. May lead cross-functional teams and/or allocate necessary work to complete projects on time and in budget.Monitors competitive factors in order to capitalize upon market opportunities, minimize the effects of competitive activity and deliver effective messaging within the marketplace.Responsible for leading development, and ensuring consistency of, brand-level marketing communication strategies across assigned product segments in support of overriding business unit strategy.Conducts voice of customer calls/meetings with appropriate stakeholders to gain inputs necessary to lead communications strategy development.Leads creative briefing sessions, material development and overall promotional presence for assigned business unit.Ensures all projects completed for assigned product segment(s) stay on time and within budget.Serves as Marketing Communications lead throughout NPI process for assigned products.May act as central contact for cross-functional organization of marketing materials, literature catalogs, meeting planning and support among assigned product segment(s).Develops and maintains a moderate level of product knowledge for assigned product segments in order to communicate product details effectively for external audiences.Serves as functional resource to other MarCom team members, regional marketing counterparts and business partners to ensure consistent brand-level communication efforts and input on business process improvement, where needed.Expected Areas of Competence Ability to communicate both orally and in written form with a clear and concise manner.Excellent organization skills and the ability to deal independently with many issues at one time and prioritize accordingly.Ability to work with cross-functional/multi-disciplined teams including but not limited to: Product Management, Commercialization, Sales Administration, Market Communications, and Sales force representatives.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other PC based systems, as well as Internet ExplorerGeneral knowledge of medical device business including the science, products (Zimmer Biomet and competitors), research and commercialization process, manufacturing, marketing, and sales.Knowledge of orthopedic market, products within assigned group, surgical process, selling process, regulatory process, development process, and marketing strategies. Education/Experience Requirements Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications or other related field.Minimum five (5) years of experience in marketing, corporate communications, or medical device product management.
