The “Cash Posting Manager” will be responsible for the daily management and coordination of activities that include cash posting to patient accounts, employee productivity, and client relationship management for approximately 22 client hospitals supported in the Indianapolis Shared Services Center. This person will identify improvements to key metrics that include but are not limited to unposted cash, unidentified cash, cash as a percentage of net patient revenue, and daily reconciliation. In this role, the successful candidate will act as the point of contact for client hospital revenue cycle supervisors, managers and directors to identify and resolve issues.

The successful candidate must have demonstrated the ability to build strong, positive client relationships while achieving performance metrics. With the proven ability to communicate key messages to multiple audiences (Exempt Staff through Hospital CFO’s/VP of Revenue Cycle).

Your day to day role will include:

  • Leading a team of approximately 20-30 nonexempt resources who provide back-office services to twenty-two (22) client hospitals.

  • Collaboration with offshore (BSO) Manager to help improve performance of remote non-exempt resources that provide additional back-office support to local team.

  • Provides daily training, coaching, and performance management to staff via team and individual meetings.

  • Ensures that there are no process deficiencies or unposted cash

  • Identifies and implements processes to achieve key revenue cycle metrics including but not limited to unposted cash, unidentified cash and Cash % of NPR.

  • Identifies, understands, and communicates key metric variances and required actions to correct variances to Vice President and Director.

  • Complies, analyzes, and communicates performance data and associated action plans to client Revenue Cycle management resources (Manager and Director Level).

  • Ensures staff is compliant with third party regulations and audits.

  • Develops, implements, and monitors performance improvement plans for staff with Senior Manager’s support.

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.

  • Minimum 4 years in healthcare setting.

  • Proven track record of managing effectively through the use of measurable metrics and holding staff accountable for results.

  • Deep understanding of all hospital revenue cycle functional areas.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.

  • Practices service-oriented leadership; collaborates with peers (client & R1) and coaches/develops direct reports.

  • 4-8 years of experience in accounts receivable management and Hospital business office operations.

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience dealing with offshore management.

  • Experience in having complete accountability over a business function (operations, staffing, and budget).
