The Diversion Manager will define our company’s direction to realize our diversion and efficiency business objectives. You will help us maintain our competitive advantage, best in class standards, and allocate resources appropriately. This leadership position collaborates across the organization to adapt and grow effective diversion and efficiency plans throughout managed properties. The successful Diversion Manager will provide a hands-on approach to driving improvement on a national platform

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand and shape the company’s diversion and efficiency strategy and mission

  • Align processes, resources-planning, and departmental goals with overall strategy

  • Proactively liaise with the national platform to set client sustainability targets and develop plans to materialize strategy and track performance

  • Monitor, identify, and document trends in client diversion and efficiency practices

  • Assess and report on key performance indicators relating to landfill diversion and recycling capture rates

  • Research, engage, and become knowledgeable on emergent issues and operational challenges

  • Train, promote, and raise awareness at all levels of the company


  • College degree required

  • LEED Accredited Professional preferred

  • Previous experience in the waste and recycling, property management, or retail industry is a plus

  • Experience in handling food waste is highly desired

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; intermediate Excel experience

  • Ability to travel to client sites as needed

  • Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with clients and within all levels of the organization

  • Proven ability to influence and provide leadership

  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills

  • Attention to detail a must
