Position Overview: The Engineering Design Technician supports the product engineering team in developing new products and making changes to existing products. This position creates and maintains engineering drawings using SolidWorks 3D CAD software, and is responsible for controlling engineering documentation. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Create 3D models for new and existing products Creates 2D engineering drawings for new and existing products Assists in product testing Controls inventory of product standards (YTS) Assists in developing new and making changes to existing packaging Conducts quality assessments and contributes to making disposition decisions Contributes to the product engineering and marketing team as called upon Education, Skills and Experience: High school graduate or equivalent Two year Technical Degree in Mechanical Engineering, 3D CAD, advanced mathematics and/or industrial arts. 2+ years of experience with 3D SolidWorks in product engineering environment. High degree of mechanical and/or artistic aptitude. Thorough knowledge of engineering procedures, factory operations and product application.
