          CAD Designer / Field Construction Site
          Location: Lafayette, IN

          Location: Lafayette, IN
          Description: Primary Mission: Prepare clear, complete, and accurate working plans and detail drawings from detailed or rough sketches.

          Summary of Responsibilities: Utilizes CAD equipment to produce routine and specialized layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, & diagrams. Details should include all views and dimensions necessary for creation and installation.

          Duties:  Work directly with project managers, engineers, and fabricators to produce drawings or modify existing drawings.
           Reads and interprets blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and other sketches.
           Perform mechanical engineering calculations to size and specify mechanical system components.
           Check dimensions, analyze materials and consider relation of various parts to whole structure of project.
           Make all adjustments or changes as directed by project managers, engineers, fabricators, etc.
           Utilize various drafting packages and software to complete drawings

          Qualifications:  Associate of Arts Degree in Engineering, Drafting, Design, Graphic Arts, or related field or;
           Three plus years drafting experience.
           Strong written, verbal, mathematical, and interpersonal skills.
           High degree of initiative to resolve issues with customers or assembly.
           Effective organization and time management skills.
           Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form.
           Ability to use related equipment and hardware such as Computer Aided Design (CAD) system
           (Solidworks software & AutoDesk software), Visio, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Windows XP or higher.
