- The purpose of this position is to provide administrative and office services support primarily in the areas of personnel reporting but also in personnel management, training, and related services in support of an organizational element.
- Maintains control of all Requests for Personnel Actions, SF-52s; reviews SF-52s to ensure completeness and accuracy and monitors status during processing.
- Compiles annual training requirements and screens requests for propriety and applicability; prepares and/or reviews Forms DD 1556 (or comparable document) and monitors the expenditure of training funds.
- Audits and reconciles the annual training budget and provides status updates to the director and divisions upon request. Consults with the Human Resources training staff and attends training work group meetings as the office's representative.
- Creates, updates and maintains personnel reports for all of Indianapolis Operations Directorate utilizing the Human Resource Business Information Datamart (HRBID) reporting tool as well as Human Resources Personnel Access databases.
- Interprets requirements and changes in Operations Directorate personnel policies and procedures to determine impact on personnel programs. Identifies and develops automated program initiatives for effective use of data systems that satisfy the user's needs or correct problems.

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-06) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized Experience is defined as: providing administrative, technical and general office support duties for an organization, monitoring pending personnel actions, executing and maintaining an annual training report for an organization.
