Kelly Services has an outstanding opportunity as an Import / Export Coordinator in Indianapolis, IN.

This role coordinates the importation/exportation of U.S. research samples within Dow AgroSciences R&D and provides guidance to researchers in order to allow DAS R&D facilities to remain in compliance with current US customs, EPA, FDA and USDA regulations, as well as DAS internal requirements. This job also requires continual interaction with Biological Research Compounds and Compliance Coordinators, R&D chemists and researchers, and various customs brokers/freight forwarders, as well as other functional groups.

Responsibilities:

Provide shippers and DAS researchers with instruction on the documentation to complete and guidance on what agency or agencies are regulating specific shipments Provide guidance on shipment logistics as needed (creation of AWB and invoice, import broker to be used, appropriate description of items, tariff classifications, Port of Entry, etc.) Generates EPA compliant FIFRA labels as necessary via RDSIMS and collaboration with the A2P CPRD PTIP Systems Support team

Updates shippers and DAS researchers with customs and shipment status Liaisons between designated broker and shipper/requestor/recipient Book orders with import broker and track orders to confirmed delivery status Communicate directly with relevant agencies and shippers to resolve issues or exceptions during the import/export process Notify shippers of estimated wait time and “do not ship” requirements

Notify shippers of approval to ship Ensure shipping records are maintained in accordance with agency regulations and DAS internal requirements Request, review, and provide U.S. tariff classifications as needed Determine if EPA approval is required for a given shipment via most current SOP(s) in place Prepare information required for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Notice of Arrival (NOA) for applicable pesticide imports Maintain all records associated with NOA preparations, tariff classifications, TSCA reviews, NOA reviews, broker entry documents, etc. in accordance with the DAS internal requirements CE as required for import/export compliance

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred 2-3 years of related experience Microsoft Office Suite: Advanced skills with Excel Preference for experience with SAP
