Plans, manages, and controls the activities of a team that provides operational support for a business segment, group or team. Brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts in process improvement, data capture and analysis, infrastructure support, tool ownership and compliance with procedures, etc. Advises business groups by providing strategic direction to initiative prioritization, integration and resource application. Ensures that policies and procedures align with corporate vision. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel ensuring efficient operation of the function.

Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate specifications. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. BA/BS degree preferred.

Corporate Records Senior Manager


Location: United States, ideally close to an Oracle office



Oracle is seeking anexperienced professional to manage the Oracle Information Governance programand team. The Corporate Records Senior Manager position is a part of theLegal Operations team and will be responsible for working with Oracle staff, IGprofessionals and outside vendors on Information Governance activities. The position requires an individual with a strong InformationGovernance/Records management background, who is self-motivated and able towork collaboratively in a fast-paced global technology firm.

_Main Responsibilities of the Position:_


Oracle's CorporateRecords Senior Manager is responsible for the continued development, and theeffective and appropriate management, of Oracle's Information Governanceprogram. This includes being responsible for developing and managingrelationships with global business units across the firm.

As Corporate Records SeniorManager, you will be overseeing and facilitating the maintenance of the Oraclerecord retention schedule and associated policies. You will make anddocument suggestions for improvement and provide expertise and input into otherfunctional areas, which affect the information of the organization.

The scope of this positionincludes responsibility for the following Information Governance activities:

  • Manage and maintain a comprehensive Records Management program using best practice.

  • Information Governance principles.

  • Oversee and maintain records retention schedules and associated policies.

  • Monitor legislation and practices impacting Information Governance including Data. Privacy regulatory changes.

  • Implement and enforce records retention policies and procedures.

  • Recommend improvements as appropriate.

  • Support Records Management standardized records management training program.

  • Produce periodic reports demonstrating IG program performance and progress.

  • Build positive and long-term relationships within and outside of the organization.

  • Oversee and supervise Records Analysts.

  • Provide litigation and investigation support for all divisions and subsidiaries for assigned business units.

  • Identify non-compliant LOBs and work with business unit leadership to administer standard policy and program compliance.

  • Inventory, identify and dispose of obsolete records.

  • Assist staff with acquisition integration, moves or closures by managing migrations and transfer of records.

  • Monitor and keep abreast of new product introductions, partnerships, acquisitions and reengineering projects in order to ensure compliance.

  • Negotiate with and manage the relationship with vendors providing needed services in support of the Information Governance Program, including contract review. You will be responsible for determining and managing the budget for these services.

  • Proactively and positively communicate with end users and lines of business via email, phone, and visits, perform issue-resolution visits, and schedule follow up meetings; create and distribute communications for change; proactively communicate with key contacts regarding overall program management.

_Preferred Qualifications:_

  • 5 years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience in Records Management/Information Governance for Fortune 500 Company preferred.

  • BA/BS degree.

  • Certification or study in Records & Information Management/Information Governance i.e. CRM or related field preferred.

  • ARMA membership/experience preferred.

  • Extensive knowledge of records retention policies and procedures.

  • Knowledge of Information Governance principles and practices including both hard copy and electronic information management.

  • Awareness of professional information management trends, resources, and publications.

  • Demonstrated decision-making skills.

  • Budget, contract and vendor management experience required.

  • Supervisory experience required.

  • Experience and ability to select, oversee and motivate a team. Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach employees to meet program goals.

  • Excellent customer service attitude and orientation.

  • Candidate must be able to work in a flexible, highly complex and varied work environment and must be able to manage multiple priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally.

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-culturally.

  • Implementing/managing electronic document and records management systems preferred.

  • Experience with IMConnect, Accutrac or RSweb a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills.

  • Strong computer proficiency and understanding of computer technology required

  • Spanish language skills a plus.

  • Ability to respond to and manage regulatory and internal audit requests promptly and in professional manner.

  • Some travel required.
