  1. Performs engineering work on projects in a particular field of engineering such as civil, chemical, electrical, environmental and mechanical, with relatively few complex features.

  2. Executes technical investigations, engineering economic studies, operating studies, designs, tests, long‑range plans, forecasts, cost estimates, computations, inspections, inventories and reports as may be required for the completion of assignments.

  3. Acts as project engineer on minor projects which involve conventional types of plans, such as the design and construction of minor substations, transmission lines, distribution lines and components for major substations and power plants, installation, maintenance and use of LANs.

  4. Coordinates the work of engineering and clerical personnel who assist in specific assignments.

  5. Counsels with customers regarding Company technical and commercial policies and the application of designs and equipment of moderate complexity, as assigned.

  6. Directs the preparation of computer programs.

  7. Assists higher classified engineers as assigned.

  8. Keeps informed on the latest developments and techniques pertaining to engineering and operating functions in the assigned field.

  9. Cooperates with employees of other sections, divisions, and departments.

  10. Consults with the supervisor or higher classified engineers on the more difficult problems arising in the work and advising of unusual situations.

  11. Actively complies with all applicable safety policies, practices and procedures.

  12. Performs any and all other duties, tasks and responsibilities which may be assigned by authorized personnel.
