Job Description: The System Validation, Test & Analysis Directorate (SVTAD) organization integrates all aspects of system validation, test, and analysis from initial system architecture, design and development, through system validation. The SVTAD Directorate has overall responsibility for the system integration and test process, test facility management and capital planning, as well as off-site system and flight test conduct, analysis and test problem resolution Opportunities currently exist within SVTAD's Radar Systems Department. This SVTAD department provides system engineering, integration, and test expertise to the radar, sensor and ship systems programs within IDS. Our opportunities require individuals to perform various engineering activities depending on their experience and skill level, such as system test requirements development, planning, execution, and analysis for system integration and verification in hardware-in-the-loop facilities, flight tests, and sell-off of production radar systems; technical support on-site and as reach-back for deployed sensor systems; and modeling and simulation. Front line leader needed for the AN/TPY-2 C4I Land and Joint Systems Support section in Fort Wayne, IN which will oversee and lead a team of approximately 12 employees. As a Front Line Leader (FLL) will lead a team of approximately 12 members As a Front Line Leader (FLL) will conduct Performance Development process actions to include goal, interim and year end performance reviews and discussions with employees in the section Provide program status, execute corrective actions, and assist the Department Manager in all areas related to program/proposal staffing, cost proposal preparation and approval, personnel development and growth, direction of IDS initiatives, and controlling overhead expenses. Extensive interaction with Program Managers, CPT and IPT Leads, other Section Managers, and the Department Manager to achieve business objectives. Collaborate and communicate with open and honest feedback to section members, perform formal and informal reviews with each member, and establish meaningful and measureable goals with the team that are aligned to the Raytheon IDS Goals. Oversee the development of, review, and approval of program BOEs as required. Lead by example and reinforce to the team the Raytheon--s Vision, Strategy, Goals & Values. Drives motivation and collaboration within multifaceted and self-directed team. Prepare presentations, written communications and facilitate meetings. This position can be a Salary Grade G10 or G11 based on the candidate's qualifications, as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position. Required Skills: Minimum of 10 years overall engineering experience in a senior or lead role Experience on a DoD or Missile Defense program in software/systems integration & test planning and execution Experience in a prior Leadership role; Project/task, IPT or CPT Lead Active DoD Secret security clearance Desired Skills: Functional management experience of a geographically diverse group Experience with radar systems business and program improvements through process improvement methodologies Experience with Raytheon’s proposal capture process (development of compliant Basis of Estimates, and White Sheet Development) Working knowledge with CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) and Performance Development Process Ability to influence, excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and team building skills, and multitasking Certified Six Sigma Specialist Familiarity with the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process Familiarity with the Engineering Labor Forecasting (ELF) System EVMS Certified and professional exposure to EVMS or similar budget tracking system Masters of Science in an Mathematics, Science or an Engineering discipline Required Education (including Major): Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Science, or Engineering discipline 104953
