Work within the Pricing Team aligned within the commercial function and reporting through divisional Finance. Collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, and Operations to develop pricing and opportunity summaries that ensure profitability goals of the business, and alignment with market benchmarking. To include the development of costing/pricing proposals and comprehensive bid opportunity summaries. Will develop, generate and utilize cost and market data models to establish timely, market-relevant and tiered pricing. Scope includes pricing analysis for films, printed, laminated and converted product lines.
Key Responsibilities include:
Generate timely full proposal and profitability analyses for new business opportunities.
Work with sales and mfg to ensure accurate and complete assumptions.
Ensure that costing/pricing models are aligned with given markets.
Develop estimates which accurately reflect manufacturing costs, benchmark established pricing and competitive environment; impact of sales terms (raw material volatility clauses, volume discounts, combination pricing, and other terms) and full business considerations which will impact profitability.
Develop knowledge base of benchmark market pricing, market conditions and total offer value by product line; develop and maintain benchmark matrix for recommending price by market and product.
Work with Customer Service and Pricing Administration to ensure accurate price implementation, including combinations or other unique quote structure development in a way that maximizes profitability.
Maintain regular communication with the appropriate operational facilities to ensure the accuracy of cost assumptions and economic suitability for location.
Ability to conduct profitability analysis by product or customer
Understand and generate impact of escalator mechanisms, raw material volatility clauses, volume discounts, combination pricing and other unique situations profitability.
Responsible for month end rebate accruals and any other necessary closing functions
Bachelors or Associates Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred.
2 years’ experience in pricing, manufacturing analysis, finance or accounting related field.
Must be highly proficient in MS Excel and similar applications
