See Job Description Below:SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide full implementation of Orchard Software's Laboratory Information System software applications.ACCOUNTABILITIES:10%Implementation PreparationReview of all documentation as provided in OSC project.Conduct initial contact with clients for confirmation of documentation in OSC project and further evaluation of workflow and training needs.50%System ImplementationInstallation of Orchard Software provided hardware and software.Plan and conduct on-site client training for system administrators and end-users.Remote and or on-site assistance with database build and refinement.Assist the client through the go- live phase with the new system.25%Project ManagementAdherence to the project plan and activities for assigned installations.Monitoring of all steps of the implementation process as defined in OSC project.Maintain regular communication with project management to discuss support and feature requests.15%DocumentationDocumentation of all steps of the implementation process in OSC project so that at any time the status of the implementation is visible and evident.Completion of all project checklists for assigned installations. DIRECTLY SUPERVISES:NONEJOB REQUIREMENTS:Education and Experience:A Bachelor Degree in a Healthcare related field or Computer Science or relevant experience in healthcare or a clinical laboratory setting is preferred. Previous experience with implementation or support of healthcare information systems or use of Orchard software products is desired.The following skill sets or attributes are desired:Previous lab management experiencePrevious laboratory information system administration experience; especially with Orchard productsPrevious lab information system installation experience with other vendorsCertified cytotechnologist, histotechnologist, or medical technologistKnowledge/Skills:Excellent teaching and presentation skillsAbility to work independentlyExcellent planning and organizational skillsIntermediate computer skillsExcellent analytical and problem solving skillsExcellent communication skills (oral and written)Proficient in the implementation of one or more product types (Harvest Clinical, Harvest Microbiology, Orchard Pathology, Copia, Trellis)Physical Demands/Working Environment:Domestic and international travel is required; up to 60% of the time.
